Solihull-based Living Space Housing has promoted Luke Webb to the position of Senior Planning Manager, in recognition of his commitment and achievements.
Luke Webb joined the team as a Planning Manager in 2019 and during that time he has overseen planning matters for 10 Living Space developments. The first affordable homes are now being handed over at four of those schemes where construction is well underway. Meanwhile, three developments being overseen by Luke are currently in the planning system, and three further upcoming schemes will see planning applications lodged in the coming months. Luke also undertakes the same role for a handful of schemes for multi award-winning housebuilder Hayfield, which is the sister company to Living Space Housing.
Paul Breen, Managing Director for Living Space Housing said: “Planning is such a crucial part of the residential development process. With Living Space growing at such a rapid pace this year, we are very grateful to Luke for his thorough approach and sheer hard work in successfully navigating the planning system.
“Even on sites which appear straightforward from a planning perspective, unforeseen issues and delays can frequently crop-up, which require active management. Having Luke on board as an experienced in-house senior planning manager enables us to be both highly proactive and reactive. I would like to thank him for his commitment and acknowledge this promotion as a reflection of Luke’s performance and overall contribution to the business.”
Prior to joining Living Space Housing and Hayfield, Luke Webb was the Planning Manager for David Wilson Homes’ Mercia Division. Prior to that he was a Planner for Persimmon Homes’ West Midlands Region, having commenced his career as a Validation Officer for Lambeth Council. Further to his undergraduate studies at Birmingham City University, Luke became a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute in 2020.
Living Space has a total of 674 residential plots under control, representing a combined value in excess of £113million. The business is on track to deliver at least 20 developments over the next two years. The vast majority of the homes Living Space builds are delivered to Registered Providers (RPs) for affordable rent and shared ownership. Living Space sources the land, achieves Full Detailed Planning consent and builds the homes for the RP, enabling them to focus on the funding and management of high-quality homes for their residents.
