Affordable housing specialist Living Space has made a trio of appointments to expand the in-house team, prior to a number of new site starts.
Nikita Chavda joins the team as a Design and Planning Coordinator, Katharine Lawrance has been recruited as an Assistant Land Manager, while Christina Haycock joins as an Administrator.
Paul Breen, Managing Director of Living Space said: “It’s great to welcome Nikita, Kat and Chris to the team at this time. While four of our affordable housing developments are nearing completion, preparations are being made on multiple new site starts, planning applications, and land acquisitions. These three new positions have been planned to strengthen two key departments within the business, and provide support across the board with Chris being recruited as our Administrator.
Nikita Chavda has joined Living Space’s Technical team from Taylor Wimpey West Midlands, where she was a Design and Planning Executive. Prior to that she was an Architectural Designer for Bovis Homes. She has nine years’ experience in the housebuilding industry and is skilled at managing large and complex sites through the residential planning process.
Katharine Lawrance has joined the Land team from Cornwall-based Bunny Homes, where she was a Land and Planning Assistant. She possesses valuable experience in land acquisition, viability appraisals, and negotiations with landowners, promoters, land agents and Registered Providers (RPs).
Christina Haycock joins from Countryside Properties UK Ltd, where she was a Commercial/Technical Administrator. Prior to that she carried out the same role for Keepmoat Homes, where she was based for 10 years.
Nikita Chavda, Design and Planning Coordinator for Living Space said: “Having spent my career to date working for major housebuilders, I am really pleased to have the opportunity to progress my career at Living Space. There are some exciting schemes in the planning stages that I am looking forward to working on – at both the pre-construction stage and throughout the live development process.”
The vast majority of the homes Living Space builds are delivered to RPs for affordable rent and shared ownership. Living Space sources the land, achieves Full Detailed Planning consent and builds the homes for the RP, enabling them to focus on the funding and management of high-quality homes for their residents. The combined construction value of Living Space’s development portfolio is in excess of £131million, which equates to 890 affordable houses, apartments and bungalows.
